Services: Bridge condition survey, load-carrying test of bridge decks, evaluation of bridge remaining life, design and development of standard drawings for bridge deck strengthening

 

There are approximately 6,000 bridges across the country for which the Department of Rural Roads is currently responsible. These bridges were designed to have a maximum load-carrying capacity for a 10-wheel truck of 21 tons. However, the present load-carrying capacity for the truck can legally be up to 25 tons. Therefore, the Department assigned TEAM GROUP to study and conduct capacity assessment of bridge decks in Bangkok’s vicinities that require strengthening and to develop standard drawings for bridge deck strengthening for future maintenance.
